TiMi Montreal - Senior Technical Artist role at Tencent. TiMi Studio Group is an award-winning game development and operations team within Tencent Games, headquartered in Shenzhen with offices in Los Angeles, Montreal, Seattle, Shanghai and Chengdu. This is a new AAA development team building an open world game in Unreal Engine 5 that is part of TiMi Studio Group and Tencent.

What The Role Entails / Ce Que Le Rôle Comprend

Award-winning TiMi Studio Group seeks a Senior Technical Artist to develop a AAA open-world game based on a new IP. The project will be released on multiple platforms using Unreal’s latest technology. As a Senior / Principal Technical Artist, you will develop content creation pipelines and features that support our art direction. You will collaborate with the Art Director, Technical Art Director and Programmers to define and create the pipelines needed to produce art content production, provide guidelines and support for a team of artists, identify technological improvements that maximize quality, performance and efficiency, and work in a highly collaborative and innovative environment.

• Develop scalable art content production pipeline and tools that support our creative vision
• Do benchmarking for our features through research and testing
• Work on creating asset banks (textures, materials, VFX)
• Establish rules and guidelines for art content production
• Produce visual benchmarks that push technology forward and maximize quality
• Collaborate with programming team to guide feature development
• Support a team of artists to build content efficiently and consistently
• Define performance budgets for specific components of the game
• Fix performance issues and polish our features
• Profile and optimize performance on console / PC
• Write and maintain technical documentation
