Who are we hiring for?

To support the growth of our client, ALTEN Canada is recruiting an Azure DevOps Engineer .

Job objectives

As an Azure DevOps Engineer , you will be part of a global central team , with responsibilities related to our Microsoft Azure public cloud infrastructure .

As a member of this international team, you will serve as the main point of contact for the Americas region , collaborating with teams using the platform across different business lines.

The team manages all layers necessary for public cloud offerings, including network, security, automation, FinOps, and technical expertise . Most workloads are on Azure, with limited use of AWS. Only secure services are available, such as AKS, Synapse, Service Bus, HDInsight, Azure Database , etc.

The team leverages scripting technologies such as Terraform, Shell, and PowerShell, and collaborates closely with the Big Data team managing the Azure DataLake offering.

You will contribute to the design and implementation of platform evolutions, provide production support, and offer your expertise to projects migrating to the platform.

Your Day-to-Day

• Develop automation for provisioning new Azure services in compliance with security requirements.
• Maintain existing Azure services, perform updates, and manage relationships with Microsoft for production incidents.
• Build tools to provide additional cloud services (cost monitoring, resiliency checks, etc.).
• Create code samples and templates to accelerate public cloud adoption.
• Maintain the CI / CD pipeline to build and test deliverables.
• Train new Azure users and advise them on appropriate architectures and solutions.
