Akkodis is looking for an IT Support Team Supervisor to lead a team of 10 IT technicians.

Overview

Akkodis is seeking an IT Support Team Supervisor to lead a team of 10 IT technicians and oversee the sustainability of the company's technology infrastructure, including server administration, technical support for employees, and promotion of IT best practices. The supervisor will participate in budget and strategy planning, implement directives from senior management, and ensure objectives are met on time with allocated resources. They may serve as the go-to reference for their area of expertise in the absence of an expert.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate IT support for users across the company, including the Montreal head office and over 20 satellite offices in Northern Quebec.
  • Oversee IT projects (software and hardware deployments).
  • Manage procurement and maintain IT hardware and software inventory.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee training and development.
  • Implement processes aligned with business needs and industry best practices.
  • Continuously improve procedures to optimize service quality.
  • Build and maintain an internal knowledge base.
  • Monitor support trends and produce statistical reports.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 8–12 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows environment and IT hardware.
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office (OneNote, Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project).
  • Solid understanding of common enterprise technologies (VPN, Citrix, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Proven ability to lead a small team and keep members motivated and results-focused.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices (asset).
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning.
