Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Developer to accelerate the growth of our EcoStruxure Building Data Platform (BDP), a cutting-edge Independent Data Layer (IDL) that connects Building Management Systems (BMS) and IoT devices to the cloud, enabling energy optimization, predictive maintenance, and next-gen workplace experiences.
In this role, you will design and maintain CI / CD pipelines, manage Azure-based infrastructure, and implement observability, automation, and security best practices. You will work with technologies such as Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, APIs, and event-driven architectures, contributing to a global platform that drives sustainability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize CI / CD pipelines for microservices and APIs.
- Manage Azure-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and resilience.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and automated recovery for mission-critical services.
- Apply security-first practices aligned with ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D and Cloud Operations teams to deliver a highly available and secure platform.
- Automate data operations by developing tools to monitor ingestion pipelines, detect anomalies, and trigger remediation or backfilling for missing telemetry.
- Continuously improve API performance and event hub throughput to support high-volume, low-latency data streaming.
- Implement end-to-end logging, tracing, and metrics for proactive issue detection and root cause analysis.
- Partner with R&D and Product teams to drive continuous improvement in resilience, security, and automation.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
- Practical experience with Azure services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or ARM), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proficiency with CI / CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub, and familiarity with agile workflows (e.g., Jira).
- Strong scripting skills in one or more languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Solid understanding of Azure-native services, including Event Hub, Service Bus, Data Explorer, and Azure Monitor.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming (e.g., Kafka, Event Hub, MQTT).
- Knowledge of API management, including gateways, throttling, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with data operations concepts such as data quality monitoring, backfilling strategies, and telemetry pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with security practices, including identity management (OAuth, RBAC) and encryption in transit and at rest.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams across cloud engineering, IoT, and building automation.
We recognize that skills and competencies can be developed through a variety of experiences, both professional and personal. Even if you don’t meet every single requirement listed, we still encourage you to apply. Your unique background and perspective could be exactly what we’re looking for.
