Infrastructure Engineer – DevOps
Overview
As an Infrastructure Engineer joining our DevOps team, you will help craft the next generation of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices, using groundbreaking technologies. The successful applicant will be experienced, highly motivated, and a technical leader with a drive for automation. You will innovate and shape the future of our platforms, addressing sophisticated problems in highly advanced environments. You will contribute to crafting and developing high-performing cloud-based software products, applying sound engineering principles and mature automation to the platform. The DevOps group emphasizes engagement across teams to support the development and operation of games and services that meet reliability targets.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain GCP cloud environments across development (Dev), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), staging (STG), and production (PRD).
- Implement and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring consistency across environments.
- Prepare for and support future multi-cloud adoption (AWS and Azure).
- Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate software delivery for mobile game platforms.
- Ensure reliable deployments across environments by leading automated testing, artifact storage, and environment promotion workflows.
- Address CI / CD failures promptly to maintain continuous delivery.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Grafana Cloud.
- Analyze system performance metrics, optimize resource usage, and ensure application stability.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Implement access control policies using Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Perform regular patch management across cloud resources to align with security frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical cloud infrastructure incidents and document major incidents as needed.
- Collaborate with mobile game developers to understand infrastructure needs and deliver tailored DevOps solutions.
- Follow Kanban to manage tasks, maintain clear workflows, and meet delivery timelines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.
What We're Looking For
- Expertise in Terraform, Go, Java, or other programming languages.
- Experience with CI / CD design and practice.
- Public cloud experience (GCP preferred; AWS and Azure also acceptable).
- Experience with cloud architecture design principles; Cloud Architect certification is a plus.
- Experience crafting infra-as-code solutions using Terraform, Azure ARM templates, CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD, CircleCI).
- Proven experience implementing production-grade Kubernetes clusters (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
- Understanding of networking technologies, especially cloud networking.
- Experience with service mesh solutions (Anthos, Istio, Consul) is advantageous.
- Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic) is advantageous.
