About the Role
The IT Manager helps the Director of IT to provide a high level of operational readiness and stability for both the standard network and industry-specific technology. The IT Manager ensures that key systems are available twenty-four (24) hours a day; establishes and maintains procedures for the use and knowledge of equipment for all systems; and maintains security procedures for systems that comply with control requirements and the company policy.
What You Will Do
- This person maintains accurate records of all systems; materials and software issues as well as service requests.
- Maintain effective support for users as well as other systems, including back office, sales, catering, people & culture applications or other institutional applications.
- Knowledge of hotel industry-specific applications and interfaces is preferable (ex : Opera, Delphi, Back Office, Spa, Workday).
- Responsible for network support and network security, maintaining internal directory, maintaining server infrastructure, maintaining Network infrastructure, network protection and implementing tools such as firewall, web security, connection devices, multiple.
- Maintains and promotes the main technological standards of Four Seasons as described in the Four Seasons computer database.
- Participate in property-level, corporate-initiated technology implementations.
- Provide administration services, to include contribution to technology capital and operating budgets.
- Good knowledge and support of Microsoft Desktop OS and applications.
- Provide direct support to customers and support for conferences and reception rooms.
- Assists the IT Director in the administration of IT maintenance and service contracts and is responsible for maintenance, service contracts, contract negotiations and tenders.
- Establish monthly meetings with assigned business units and maintain meeting minutes and action log.
- Establish and maintain Knowledge Base; facilitate knowledge transfer to junior employees.
What You Bring
- The candidate must have at least three years of experience in a computer position in a hotel, including two years in a management position.
- Advanced proficiency in oral and writing French is required.
- An advanced level of English is required for communication with business partners and suppliers predominantly international.
- Experience in project management and knowledge of hospitality applications such as PMS, HSIA, POS is an asset.
- A university degree in computer science is preferable.
