Job Description

Are you ready to jump-start your career with one of the fastest growing technology companies in Montreal? If you are hard-working, curious, and eager to learn, we should talk. Vention is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to begin a career with our sales team and learn the craft of selling.

Responsibilities

  • Source new revenue opportunities by educating our inbound leads and prospects about Vention's productized Applications.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting to qualify leads and prospects (average 100 calls and emails per day). You enjoy making contact with people and are effective at outreach to ideal customer profiles and referrals.
  • Qualify prospects' needs and challenges, and map them to Vention offerings.
  • Set up highly qualified meetings with senior sales experts.
  • Work closely with account executives and marketing to implement strategy and process.
  • Become an industry expert and develop product mastery.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly booking and pipeline generation targets.
  • Present Vention in a professional and positive light.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients.
  • Report on weekly metrics, performance, and results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve results and collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to action them.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related business development experience; ideally with a technical product (software or hardware).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Proven track record of high achievement.
  • Intellectual agility and natural curiosity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy, curiosity, and a self-motivated attitude with a constant sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic technology environment.
  • Strong attention to detail; organized and metric-driven.
  • Professional acumen.
