Qualifications
You have a vision about what a great IT function looks like and are looking for a place to implement it. You are looking to grow within your role and be responsible for the entire company IT function. You are innovative, you show curiosity and creativity, and you have a great sense for customer service. You also have the following assets:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Systems and/or Network Administration
- Industry-recognized certifications relevant to the role
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience including 5 years at the Director level
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (to support cross-border collaboration, particularly with U.S. colleagues)
- Flexibility to provide business support outside of standard working hours
- Proven experience leading teams
- Demonstrated project management expertise
- Solid background in cybersecurity practices and protocols
- Experience with ISO27001 or SOC 2 certification is considered an asset
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
- Capacity to adapt to different tasks
Opportunity
Your role will be to implement the best practices in IT and cybersecurity. More specifically, as the Director of IT, you will:
- Oversee both internal and external IT resources to ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead and maintain ISO27001 certification and oversee the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Ensure the upkeep, configuration, installation, upgrading, and smooth operation of IT infrastructure—including hardware, software, networks, servers, VoIP systems, and virtualization platforms
- Manage capacity planning, storage optimization, and database performance monitoring
- Coordinate project execution by aligning resources and timelines with departmental needs and data center operations
- Safeguard organizational assets by establishing disaster recovery plans (DRP), backup protocols, and robust information security measures
- Be an integral part in the implementation of a business continuity plan (BCP)
- Build and manage productive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external consultants
- Develop and enforce IT strategies, policies, and procedures by analyzing outcomes, identifying challenges, monitoring trends, and anticipating future requirements
- Support financial planning by forecasting IT resource needs, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and driving corrective actions aligned with asset management
- Support business systems (ERP, CRM) functionality
- Provide user support across all entities
