We are working on a new mRNA-based gene therapy for a severe genetic disease. The mRNAs encoding a wildtype gene, which is mutated in the patients, will be delivered to the cells by transfection or to a mouse via injection. Subcellular localization in cells and the effect of the wildtype protein on the phenotype of the patient-derived cells will be studied.
