As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing game features with a focus on game considerations, writing clean and efficient code, and collaborating with our team of game developers to create immersive and engaging player experiences. Your creativity and drive to push the limits of possibility will help us transport players to new dimensions of entertainment and create unforgettable gaming experiences.

The annual base pay range for this role is between $85,000 and $180,000 CAD, plus benefits, and profit-sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prototyping, implementing, and maintaining reusable netcode systems in Photon Fusion
- Collaborating with art and design teams to realize shared visions
- Establishing engineering best practices for high-quality results
- Designing and implementing game features using Unity
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Optimizing and debugging for smooth VR performance
- Staying updated with latest VR, Unity, and Photon developments

Desired Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years in multiplayer game development or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Unity and C#
- Experience with Photon Fusion
- Track record of shipping multiplayer titles
- Strong understanding of software design, performance, and memory constraints
- Experience with Agile, Git / Github, and debugging complex issues
Preferred Skills:
- Experience developing competitive FPS games
- Knowledge of dedicated server deployment, matchmaking, load balancing, and geolocation
- Passion for VR gaming and familiarity with VR design patterns
- Experience with Oculus Quest and other VR headsets
- Experience working in indie studios
- Interest in story-driven games and social deduction games like Among Us
