Job Description

RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will assist in carrying out experiments in the laboratory. Experiments include biochemistry and molecular biology. Data analysis and use of bioinformatics will be included in the tasks. The title of the project is “Paternal Age and Neurodevelopmental Outcomes in Children”.

General Duties

Helps in preparing and setting up materials and equipment,
Assists in results recording,
Collects and maintains data and records,
Ensures compliance and protocol guidelines.

Education : Bachelor's Degree

Work Experience : None

Required Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
Ability to work with teams with supervision,
Attention to detail and accuracy,
Good analytical and logic skills,
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Additional Information

Status : Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek) : October 1st 2025 to December 31st 2025.

Pay Scale : $34,980.40 - $52,452.40. Commensurate with education and experience.

Work Shift : Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Work Site : GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
