CONTEXT

We have a lot of established and already running in-house as well as externally bought tools and we need this individual to work closely with our core IT team to develop, learn, understand and effectively utilize efficient and scalable monitoring solutions that provide actionable insights into the stability and performance of our infrastructure and applications.

Our RUN team is dedicated to helping increase the scalability of our application by troubleshooting and analyzing performance issues captured by monitoring tools.

With over 50 team members, the AMER RUN team needs to keep growing to satisfy demanding customers. In this context of fast growth, you will help our customers in both Public and Private Sectors within the support and maintenance capacity to secure a smooth transition post going live.

ROLE

We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and using various IT processes and monitoring tools. You will work closely with different teams under the Run department to understand their needs and act as a bridge between Run and IT so that we are able to give and take ground-level operational feedback both ways.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

  • Configure and deploy Datadog across various cloud environments, on-premise servers, and containerized applications.
  • Set up custom dashboards, monitors, and alerts to track application, infrastructure, and network performance.
  • Design and implement other possible monitoring solutions to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of systems and applications.
  • Create and fine-tune alerts and thresholds to proactively detect performance degradation, outages, and other critical incidents.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to understand daily operational running processes.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze issues identified through monitoring tools (example Datadog), providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Work with engineering teams to analyze metrics, logs, and traces to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
  • Generate and deliver comprehensive reports to stakeholders on system performance, outages, and trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on Datadog configurations, integrations, and best practices.
