Description du poste

The role of the functional analyst primarily involves translating business needs and requirements into functional analysis, describing the solution to be developed. The analyst also participates in certain quality assurance stages of the deliverable.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adopt the functional architecture;
• Participate in the development of functional rules and design standards;
• Develop, write, and modify functional analysis documents of varying complexity according to architectural and business specifications;
• Assist users in clarifying operational needs concerning functionalities to be developed or modified;
• Support users in understanding and validating functional analyses;
• Design and create prototypes / mock-ups and demos based on user needs;
• Produce required documentation deliverables for the development approach;
• Present the functional document to the responsible developer and support them throughout development. Coordinate and supervise their work during solution implementation;
• Contribute to test strategy, test cases, plans, and scenarios;
• Perform functional testing;
• Create data sets for testing as assigned;
• Support project team members responsible for integrated or acceptance testing;
• Assist with simulation testing during deployment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years in web application development (.Net, object-oriented) or service design;
• A minimum of three (3) years experience in creating functional documents, including orientation documents, principles, and rules, within system development or evolution;
• Participation as a functional analyst in at least one large-scale electronic service web solution project;
• Experience as a functional analyst using a structured development methodology and use case-driven approach in at least one major project;
• Participation in at least one agile system development project;
• At least two (2) years working with business analysts, understanding task separation and role complementarity between functional and business analysts.
