JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Specialist will develop cross-platform social strategies, create engaging content, and manage monthly content calendars. They will also plan and execute digital advertising strategies to support key initiatives and drive engagement across Ometz’s channels. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, they will execute project-based marketing, working with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver campaigns. This role focuses on boosting brand awareness and engagement by sharing the Ometz story online.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage the annual digital content calendar, including planning, copywriting, scheduling, and community engagement across all platforms, ensuring all content is reviewed and approved in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
  • Lead and execute paid social media campaigns, with a strong focus on Meta Ads, ensuring detailed setup, targeting, analytics tracking, and optimization through Meta Business Suite.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure consistent brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all digital communications.
  • Create and implement effective email marketing campaigns including newsletters, blogs, and announcements using platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or Klaviyo.
  • Drive social media strategy and planning by following briefs and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain and update the website using WordPress or other CMS platforms, while contributing to broader SEO and SEM strategies.
  • Design and produce graphic design materials for digital and print assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Film and edit video content on-site and at events, with a pre-approved storyboard, produce quick and engaging well-thought-out reels for social media and edit in Canva or similar video editing software.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of both digital, print, and traditional marketing practices
  • Skilled in writing compelling copy and creating engaging visual content
  • Passionate about marketing execution and purpose-driven campaigns
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Office Suite, Hubspot, Google Analytics, SEO, SEM
    • Web design skills: WordPress or similar
    • Excellence in Meta Ads, Meta Business Suite, Facebook Manager, ROI
    • Design skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign and/or Photoshop) & Canva
    • Video editing & content creation skills (Canva, Adobe Express/Premiere/After Effects, etc.)
  • Bilingual; written & spoken. We require a strong level of French and English communication skills to best serve our clientele
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector, and knowledge of the Jewish community, an asset
