Job Description

As Support and Integration Engineering Manager at Vention, you will lead a team of specialists and engineers providing high-impact post-sales technical support. Your goal is to maximize customer value from Vention’s solutions while building a scalable, high-performing support organization.

You will coach your team in planning, technical execution, handling escalations, understanding customer needs, root cause analysis, and delivering solutions. Your hands-on involvement combined with strategic oversight will improve response times, service quality, and long-term success.

Your expertise in software, automation, and robotics will enhance your team’s technical skills and help identify training opportunities.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Application Engineering, Product, and Platform teams to align on customer needs, provide feedback, and influence product roadmaps and market strategies.

Responsibilities include :

  • Managing a team of integration specialists and engineers, supporting their development.
  • Enhancing problem-solving and escalation handling capabilities, serving as the final escalation point for critical issues.
  • Reinforcing documentation, troubleshooting protocols, and standard work processes.
  • Partnering with Product, Platform, and Customer Experience teams to identify gaps and recurring issues.
  • Hiring, onboarding, and ramping new team members according to growth projections.
  • Participating in triage sessions and providing real-world feedback to influence product development.
  • Conducting team evaluations, technical assessments, and performance reviews.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize team efficiency.
  • Supporting pre-sales and post-deployment activities, including client calls, deployment planning, and occasional on-site visits.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, automation, robotics, or related fields.
  • At least 6 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or robotics.
  • Over 5 years in technical support or integration roles, with 3+ years leading technical teams.
  • Strong business acumen and deep automation knowledge.
  • Experience with support tools like Zendesk, Jira, or similar systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influence skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and coaching ability.
  • Exceptional client communication skills and customer-first mentality.
  • Bilingual in English and French, spoken and written.
