DevOps Engineer

We are looking to strengthen our DevSecOps team with a skilled DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer who has a successful track record, for a hybrid position based in Montreal.

Our team in Montreal consists of approximately 15 people. You will work alongside three developers and a technical lead in your local team. A person based in France, responsible for data and DevOps, will be your reporting manager.

Location : Montreal or anywhere in Canada

Work Mode : 100% remote

Job Type : Full-time, permanent

Salary : $132,000 to $140,000 (with flexibility based on profile) + performance bonus + 4 weeks of vacation + benefits

Desired Profile :

You have an engineering background and some experience as a Dev(Sec)Ops in high-load or high-availability environments. You enjoy distributed architectures and have strong knowledge in areas such as automation, security (both technical and organizational), open-source software, and cloud computing. You are comfortable working in both English and French, both written and spoken, and can collaborate with distributed international teams.

We are looking for someone who is curious, meticulous, autonomous, and open-minded, with a strong desire to learn, grow, and share knowledge.

Technical Knowledge / Environment (You don’t need to master everything—learning is part of the role) :

• General cloud computing knowledge – AWS is a plus
• Kubernetes (K8s) in general and EKS in particular – you are comfortable with the operational management of K8s : kubectl, helm are among your go-to tools, and you understand concepts such as ingress controllers, operators, deployments, etc.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) – GitLab and ArgoCD are a plus
• Passion for automation, particularly with Chef and Terraform
• Familiarity with Linux, especially Debian GNU / Linux
• Comfortable with Dockerfiles and Helm charts
• Knowledge of development in any of the following languages is appreciated : shell (bash, zsh…), Python, Go, Rust
