About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive, strategic, and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead the positioning and growth of a key product category in the ophthalmic lens market. This is a 1-year maternity leave contract where you'll be responsible for managing the full product portfolio strategy, including product positioning, pricing, communication, and B2B / B2B2C marketing initiatives. You'll also oversee partnerships with external distributors and internal teams to ensure strong brand execution and business impact.

This is a high-impact role that requires someone who can think strategically, execute with precision, and collaborate across multiple departments.

What You'll Be Doing

Product Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute detailed marketing plans for the product portfolio (positioning, pricing, communication).
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay on top of trends and best practices.
  • Forecast sales volumes and ROI for product launches.
  • Manage promotional tools and marketing collateral in collaboration with partners.
  • Monitor product performance and market evolution (consumer behavior, eye care professionals, competition).
  • Collaborate with sales teams to analyze product performance and suggest strategic adjustments.
  • Lead communication strategies targeting both B2B clients and end consumers.
  • Develop branding and communication plans to drive awareness and purchase intent.
  • Optimize the product portfolio to align with client needs and improve profitability.
  • Build and implement personalized marketing plans for key customer segments.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with internal and international partners to apply best practices and implement a strong global brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with sales, training, and customer experience teams to ensure messaging consistency.
  • Ensure marketing strategies, tools, and programs add value across the business-benefiting customers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for your product portfolio, supporting sales teams and internal questions, and joining client meetings when needed.
  • Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of proven marketing experience, ideally managing multiple product lines
  • Experience in a multi-channel B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of branding, customer engagement, and marketing strategy
  • Comfortable managing both strategic planning and detailed execution
  • Creative thinker who delivers measurable results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment
  • High energy, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
