Position Summary

Working as a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. The Consumables Associate is a customer service champion that contributes to the high-volume, fast-paced flow of merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor. This Associate will function as part of a team to stock and process merchandise and assist customers with their shopping needs, all in a safe and clean environment. What you'll do

• Offer excellent customer service by greeting all customers politely and courteously, promoting products and services, helping them locate merchandise, make purchasing decisions, resolve related issues, and relay concerns when necessary.
• Cover one or more designated sectors in the sales area.
• Perform zoning of the assigned sector.
• Move featured items to their main module.
• Replace merchandise left at the customer service counter and other store areas.
• Assist in covering the checkout area.
• Communicate with other associates to maintain coverage at the checkout area.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and obstacle-free work environment by following company directives and procedures, including filling out safety sweep logs and ensuring displays are secure.
• Store and unload merchandise and selections as needed. Install security devices on items if necessary. Set up and fill modules, including flexible modules, and install new shelves.
