Desjardins Investments is looking for a quantitative developer to join its Structured Product Development and Management team. The team’s activities include generating ideas, developing and positioning products, structuring, setting up hedges and market making. The products they develop include market-linked guaranteed investments (MLGIs), structured notes for retail investors and equity derivatives for institutional partners. The team is also responsible for the Desjardins Investment Savings Account offered in the brokerage networks. As a quantitative developer, you help develop the core business system and quantitative models essential to managing structured products that balance the risk/return ratio of investment solutions. You help solve financial engineering and innovation issues at Desjardins. You coordinate the planning, design and execution of projects and initiatives. You help solve complex problems. You use your analytical skills and detailed knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical. You serve as a resource person for your unit, clients and partners.
Responsabilités
- Develop, maintain and update the features of the core business system used to manage structured products.
- Develop, maintain and update pricing tools for derivatives used to structure products.
- Help develop and maintain the quantitative models used for tasks like equity derivative valuation, and rigorously produce the related documentation.
- Work closely with traders, product managers, sales teams, the treasury, middle office and back office to develop analytical tools for transaction valuation.
- Help come up with ideas for new products.
- Develop complex financing packages to hedge product risk.

Ce que vous apportez
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Specialization in financial engineering, finance, actuarial science, computer science or a related field
- Possess or be in the process of earning the Chartered Financial Analyst designation
- Experience in software development using C#
- Experience popularizing complex concepts
- Experience in financial analysis and structuring
- Advanced proficiency in French (spoken and written), even if the selected candidate is outside Quebec
- Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written) due to the type of work and work tools, and because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members or clients
- Knowledge of Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps and Control-M
- Knowledge of the development and pricing of structured products
- Proficiency in quantitative finance
- Knowledge of and experience with exotic over-the-counter (OTC) equity derivatives
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, MATLAB, VBA, Python and SQL
