Our Montreal-based client is seeking an experienced Bilingual (English / French) IT Project Manager to join their project starting immediately and will run until the end of January 2026 with the possibility of a further extension. The ideal candidate should have experience in the Retail industry sector as well as Agile methodology knowledge. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering technology projects in accordance with the standards, including SOX and ITGC controls.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure projects are executed in alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives, promoting an agile and collaborative approach.
  • Develop and document project plans, refining resource plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner / Scrum Master to ensure effective backlog management and task prioritization.
  • Secure approval for requested resources and manage change requests when applicable.
  • Be accountable for all aspects of project delivery, including :
    • Contributing to business case updates, requirements, and project charters.
    • Managing scope, timelines, budget, risks, change requests, quality, and issue resolution.
    • Assigning tasks and managing project dependencies.
    • Validating invoices from external suppliers.
    • Preparing and presenting reports to sponsors and steering committees.
    • Leading phase-gate reviews and ensuring compliance with governance processes.
    • Coordinating transition to operations (implementation, post-implementation, etc.).
    • Following established processes (weekly status updates, change requests, templates, etc.).
    • Ensuring approval of key deliverables and adherence to the PMO’s project management framework.
    • Supervising all project contributors (business analysts, application leads, solution architects, integrators, HR, communications, etc.) and approving timesheets.
    • Making project-related decisions in consultation with key team members and stakeholders.

Additional requirement : Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
