Position Overview

The IT Data Specialist contributes to the efficiency of organizational activities by designing, managing, maintaining, and developing data structures and database servers. They coordinate the operation, protection, and control of database use, providing technical support to users. They are responsible for safeguarding IT data against cyber threats, monitoring security developments, analyzing vulnerabilities, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. They also enhance business intelligence activities by analyzing data from data warehouses and multidimensional databases, monitoring performance indicators, and advising stakeholders on data interpretation. As a high-level professional, they offer solutions for process optimization, contribute to resolving complex issues, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the execution of IT projects.
  • Implement and improve Business Intelligence (BI) processes to meet business needs.
  • Monitor and enhance procedures to ensure service quality.
  • Create and maintain an internal knowledge base and documentation.
  • Write complex SQL queries and utilize Python / R for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Maintain cloud solutions for data integration and management.
  • Analyze data with stakeholders to produce insights and support decision-making.
  • Design data models, including star schemas and semantic models.
  • Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards using M and DAX languages.

Qualifications

  • University degree in IT, statistics, finance, accounting, or related fields with relevant experience.
  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical expertise in SQL, database management, Python / R, cloud platforms (Azure / Fabric), and data security best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including M and DAX languages.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Perseverance and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
