About the RI-MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a leading biomedical and hospital research centre in Montreal, Quebec. It is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The institute is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

The Chronic Viral Illness Service Research team conducts numerous clinical trials annually, focusing on chronic viral illnesses such as HIV, HBV, HCV, STIs, and liver diseases. Under the supervision of the CVIS Research Director and Project Manager, the Clinical Research Coordinator will be involved in various trial activities at the McGill University Health Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study start-up activities : creating worksheets, organizing site initiation visits, maintaining the Site Master File, and creating training logs.
  • Ongoing study activities : managing participant documentation, regulatory compliance, updating visit calendars, coordinating with CRA, tracking safety reports, supporting staff with regulatory questions, managing financial records, data collection, and assisting with patient recruitment.
  • Study closeout activities : archiving records and updating study documents.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Health Science, Medical, Nursing, Microbiology, or Social Sciences.

Experience : 2 years of relevant experience is an asset, including clinical trials and research coordination.

Professional Membership : No.

Required Skills

  • Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web applications.
  • Professionalism, efficiency, self-motivation, and strong work ethic.
  • Additional Details

    Status : Temporary, full-time (35 hours / week).

    Salary : $44,408.00 - $82,427.80, commensurate with experience.

    Work Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm.

    Location : GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie.
