Overview :

Shift Schedule : Weekday day shift : 3x12-hour nights (Friday to Sunday, 6 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 AM)

Location : 8272 19e Avenue, Montréal, QC H1Z 4J8

The supervisor is responsible for the overall performance of production operations on one or multiple lines, including roasting, production, and packaging. The role involves collaborating with the operations manager to improve efficiency, quality, waste reduction, profitability, and staff training, while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise documentation of processes, improvement strategies, and training procedures to ensure operational consistency, cost reduction, space utilization, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Monitor weekly productivity to measure and improve shift efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and make adjustments as needed.
  • Manage communication, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of over twenty employees.
  • Assign, monitor, and direct work procedures, leverage team strengths, manage performance, resolve issues, and ensure high performance levels.
  • Evaluate production performance, ensure compliance with GMP, and meet quality, health, and safety standards.
  • Track productivity to optimize schedules and foster continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inventory control procedures to meet accuracy goals.
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance safety, quality, costs, waste reduction, and efficiency.
  • Inspect machinery periodically to ensure safety and specifications are met.
  • Complete ad hoc production reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the operations, quality, and engineering teams on projects to improve quality, efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
  • Lead department and team development, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Report product quality issues to superiors.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, especially in coffee processing or related fields.
  • Experience supervising a team of 20 or more employees.
