ABOUT THE ROLE

Ensures concrete batching (production) complies with laboratory specifications and meets customer needs. Also, allocates and schedules yard employees to ensure timely concrete delivery, site cleanliness, and raw material supply planning.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Conduct daily site cleanliness and safety inspections.
  • Ensure PPE usage and safety protocols adherence by workers, drivers, and contractors.
  • Perform daily checks on mechanical equipment (visual inspection, noise, lubrication, vibration, belts, etc.).
  • Measure moisture levels in raw materials like stone and sand before shifts.
  • Assess plant conditions visually before production.
  • Test concrete to meet specifications with the technical team.
  • Order raw materials based on needs or forecasts.
  • Input materials into the "Command Batch" system and generate daily reports.
  • Conduct end-of-month physical inventory checks with the director.
  • Maintain daily communication with dispatchers and managers to optimize fleet use and report issues.
  • Promote safety culture and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education : College - CEGEP
  • Preferred : Civil Engineering
  • Experience : Minimum 3 years in concrete metering, operations supervision, mechanical maintenance, or related fields.
  • Technical Skills : RMX Concrete, RMX batching.
  • Travel : Less than 10%
  • Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work independently, responsibly, and be well-organized.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Teamwork capability.
  • Decisiveness and quick response in changing environments.
  • Analytical skills and problem anticipation.
  • Comfort with various computer tools.
  • Knowledge of building materials and concrete.
  • Experience in industrial mechanics or diesel is a plus.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and use PPE, including respirators, which require a clean-shaven face for proper fit.
