TALTEK is looking to fill the following position for one of its clients :

IT Support Consultant : Ticketing System Selection

MONTREAL|HYBRID|BILINGUAL

JOB SUMMARY

Seeking an experienced IT Support Consultant to assist in the selection and implementation of a new ticketing system. This role requires a professional with superior presentation and planning skills to execute and deliver the project and report findings to the C-suite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assessment and Analysis :

  • Evaluate current ticketing system and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with IT support teams and stakeholders.
  • Research and compare various ticketing systems to determine the best fit for the organization.

Project Planning and Execution :

  • Develop a detailed project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Lead the implementation process, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth integration of the new system.
  • Stakeholder Communication :

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the C-suite, outlining project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for IT support staff on the new system.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and address any concerns promptly.
  • Documentation and Reporting :

  • Create detailed documentation of the selection process, implementation steps, and system configurations.
  • Compile a comprehensive final report summarizing the project outcomes and presenting it to the C-suite.
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support and ticketing system implementation.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives.
  • Proficiency in various ticketing systems and IT support tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
  • Experience with specific ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, JIRA).
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
  • Bilingualism is required because this role requires daily communication outside of Quebec
