As the largest amateur multi-sport competition in the country, the Canada Games bring together over 3,000 high calibre athletes and coaches in more than twenty disciplines. Alternating between summer and winter, every two years, they showcase the immense talent and perseverance of our champions. The winter edition of the Canada Games will take place in Québec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027.

The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is looking for bold minds to create memorable Games. Your mission? Join a passionate team that will create exceptional moments for both athletes and visitors while building a lasting legacy of excellence and innovation for our community.

Your Role

History is made with the right people. The 2027 Canada Games are looking for a visionary Director, Marketing to lead the brand experience that will captivate Quebec City and shine across the entire country. You will be the guardian of our identity and the creator of moments that will leave a lasting impression.

Reporting to the Chief, Partnerships and Community Relations, your expertise will allow you to :

Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of about 5 creative talents

Boost awareness of the Games through innovative marketing initiatives

Design and bring to life the official mascot that will become the Games’ ambassador

Develop and manage our digital ecosystem : website, social media, and mobile app

Build a distinctive and memorable brand image that shines through all communications

Organize promotional events and activations that bring the spirit of the Games to life well before the Opening Ceremony

Establish strategic partnerships with local organizations and community groups to amplify our reach

Plan and execute a Torch Relay that sparks imagination and pride across Québec

Design and deploy a national broadcast strategy in collaboration with media partners to maximize the Games’ reach

Produce more than 1,000 hours of video content (web streaming) during the Games

Develop and deploy impactful volunteer recruitment strategies

Contribute to the success of the fundraising campaign through targeted marketing initiatives

Ensure the quality of Canada’s two official languages across all communications

Keys to success

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field

At least 5 years of experience in a marketing leadership or creative project management role

Professional fluency in both French and English, spoken and written

Proven experience managing teams and budgets

Criminal background check required

Authorization to work in Canada
