To ensure continuity of service to newly acquired North American clients as well as operational activities carried out by CACEIS IS, such as Fund Distribution and PERES services, CACEIS Canada is looking for an Operations Officer to join the Custody team, working on either Corporate Actions or on global markets settlement operations following settlement process with local custodian agents and resolving breaks reported from counterparts and local agent.

Job Duties (Settlement)

  • Manage requests received by email from clients in a timely manner
  • Chase broker / client on issues / discrepancies spotted on transactions
  • Take in charge analysis and investigation on existing pending or breaks on all markets with extensive knowledge of US / CA / LATAM
  • Manage incoming chasing or queries from counterparts and clients
  • Release instructions on market by respecting treasury cut off
  • Mitigate risk, put in place partial instructions and place recalls whenever necessary

Job Duties (Corporate Actions)

  • Announce to client incoming events for which their choice or action is requested
  • Execute corporate action events in order to reflect a correct safekeeping position in our records
  • Provide updates on any inquiry received from external clients
  • Collect the clients choice for optional events and process them accordingly
  • Respect deadlines from issuers and custodians
  • Process payment message as per information collected
  • Monitor carefully activity dashboard to prioritize items and maintain it in a clean state
  • Qualifications :

  • 2 years + of financial services experience within Settlements
  • Securities knowledge (Could be from CSC and or banking industry experience)
  • Excel (Pivot tables, Chart manipulation, Basic Formulas)
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of SWIFT messages type (especially 56X for corporate action and / or 54X for settlement)
  • Multitasking and time management skills
  • Awareness and good ethics behavior
