Job Description
Great events don't start on event day. They start a year earlier, with the right venue, the right partners and a plan that holds up.
As our Event Planning Lead, you're the architect behind Techo-Bloc's roadshows, loyalty events and trade shows across Canada and the U.S. While our execution team brings each event to life on the ground, you work a full season ahead, mapping the route, securing venues, negotiating deals and building the partnerships that set everyone up for success.
What you'll own
- Annual event strategy & roadmap: Build and maintain the event calendar, including markets, event sequence, timelines and venues, 9 to 12 months in advance.
- Venue sourcing & contracts: Research, evaluate and select venues; lead negotiations on pricing, terms, BEOs, attrition, cancellation policies and other contractual requirements.
- Vendor & partner management: Build strong, long-term relationships with venues and key suppliers, lead RFQs and negotiations, and monitor supplier performance.
- Event budgets: Build and manage budgets from initial estimates through final reconciliation, including POs, invoices, forecasting and post-event reporting.
- Master planning: Own the master event calendar, critical timelines, dependencies and key milestones to keep all stakeholders aligned.
- Cross-functional coordination: Bring Marketing, Content, Social, Design and other partners into the planning process early enough for their work to be integrated into the event strategy.
- Risk & contingency planning: Identify potential issues early, develop contingency plans and resolve roadblocks before they impact execution.
- Execution handoff: Ensure every event is fully planned, contracted, budgeted and documented before transitioning it to the execution team.
What the work looks like
Your weeks will vary, but you might:
- Tour venues and assess whether they can deliver the experience and operational requirements for a future roadshow.
- Negotiate an eight-month-out hotel contract and secure better pricing or terms.
- Review event budgets and challenge costs before commitments are made.
- Build the planning timeline for an upcoming multi-city event series.
- Meet with Marketing and Content teams six months ahead to align event objectives, campaigns and deliverables.
- Review supplier performance from the previous season and determine where changes are needed.
- Solve a potential venue or vendor issue months before it becomes an event-day problem.
Qualifications
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, event management, procurement, project coordination or a related field.
- Proven experience with venue sourcing, contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Hands-on experience managing BEOs, supplier agreements, event budgets and invoices.
- Strong project management skills and experience using tools such as Teamwork, Asana, Monday.com or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events, timelines, stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English. English is essential when traveling and working with partners across the U.S.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- A valid driver's license and passport, with the ability and willingness to travel across Canada and the U.S.
You'll thrive here if you
- Think months ahead, not just about the next event.
- Get satisfaction from finding the right venue, negotiating the right deal and making the right call early.
- Are comfortable owning budgets, contracts and important decisions.
- Build strong supplier relationships while still knowing when to push for better terms.
- Naturally see potential risks before they become problems.
- Bring structure to complex projects with multiple moving parts.
- Enjoy working cross-functionally and know how to keep people aligned without needing to micromanage.
- Take ownership from strategy through handoff and don't wait for someone else to solve the problem.
Additional Information
What we offer
- Competitive compensation and a bonus plan
- Group insurance, RRSP with employer contribution, and 24/7 telemedicine and EAP
- Weekly one-on-ones, leadership development and ongoing training
- Discounts on Techo-Bloc products
- Team events and an employee referral program

CPP Clinics is a leading provider of medical aesthetics services, offering innovative treatments across multiple medspas under the CPP umbrella. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences and outstanding results, utilizing advanced technologies and personalized care.
The Role
We're hiring an IT Support Technician III in Montréal to act as the senior escalation point for our clinics across the United States. This is a hands-on, queue-driven role: you'll work tickets every day, resolving the problems our 1st and 2nd line technicians can't across Microsoft 365, endpoints, security tooling, telephony, and networking.
One day you might be untangling an Exchange Online mail-flow issue, triaging an EDR alert, rebuilding a clinic's phone tree, and setting up a new site's network. You'll escalate infrastructure, security, and architecture work to our Senior IT Engineer.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 – 20:00 Eastern, aligned to our US clinics' business hours. We don't run weekend support, though the team occasionally helps out for urgent issues or planned cutovers.
What you'll do
- Work the escalation queue: This is the core of the job. You'll live in Zendesk: taking escalated tickets from our 1st and 2nd line technicians, driving them to resolution against SLA, and being the last stop before an issue reaches our Senior IT Engineer.
- Microsoft 365 and Entra ID: Exchange Online mail flow, SharePoint and OneDrive permissions, Teams, licensing, MFA and conditional access, and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- RMM and MDM: Windows and macOS builds, patching, policy, application packaging, remote support, and agent health across the fleet. Printing, scanning and peripherals sit here too.
- Security tooling (AV / EDR): Triage and action endpoint detection alerts, keep agent coverage complete across every device, support phishing simulation and security awareness campaign, and escalate genuine incidents promptly.
- VoIP and telephony: Cloud VoIP administration, IVR and call-flow builds, ring groups, voicemail, number porting, handsets, and call routing across time zones.
- Networking: Diagnose connectivity, wireless, VLAN, VPN, and firewall issues at clinic sites; coordinate with ISPs and escalate hardware faults.
- Clinic onboarding: Once onboarded and have a full understanding of clinic structure you will help with clinic onboardings and standardization.
- Clinical platform support (secondary): Day-to-day account, access, and workstation-side support for our EMR and practice-management systems (Zenoti, Nextech, PatientNow, Dr. Chrono, Meevo) and consultation-room iPads and imaging hardware.
- Documentation and mentoring: Maintain SOPs and knowledge-base articles in Zendesk, keep asset and licence records accurate, and coach the L1/L2 technicians so more issues are solved correctly the first time.
You'll work to our published SLA: 60-minute average first response and 3-business-day resolution on standard tickets; 15-minute response and 4-business-hour restoration on P1 incidents. We care as much about tickets staying closed as about closing them quickly.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in IT support, including 2+ years at a 3rd-line or senior escalation level. This is a senior role
- Real depth in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration
- Strong Windows and macOS troubleshooting, with hands-on RMM and MDM experience managing a fleet.
- Working knowledge of endpoint security tooling — AV / EDR alert triage, agent deployment and coverage.
- Experience administering a cloud VoIP platform, including building call flows or IVRs.
- Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, firewall rules, Wi-Fi.
- Comfortable working a ticket queue to SLA in a helpdesk platform such as Zendesk, and documenting as you go.
- Excellent communication — you can explain a technical problem to a non-technical clinician with patience and clarity.
- Comfortable supporting users remotely across multiple sites and time zones, and prioritising against SLA.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Nice to have: experience supporting users across multiple sites or at a managed service provider; Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace tenant migrations; familiarity with HIPAA or another data-protection regime.
Language: Knowledge of English is required, as this role provides direct daily support — verbal and written — to clinic staff located exclusively in the United States, and our clinical, security, and vendor platforms operate in English. French is an asset but is not required for the duties of the role.
