Fundamental Research Platform (FRP), is part of PSP’s Global Alpha group. FRP is organized into four sectors, Technology, Media and Telcom (TMT), Healthcare, Industrials & Materials (I&M), and Consumer, with each team led by a sector head responsible for stock selection and active management of a global public equities portfolio.

À propos de votre rôle

As an Intern, Fundamental Research Platform, you’ll:

  • Conduct sector & stock analysis as directed by the sector head:

    Analyze selected stocks and investment opportunities

    Perform thematic research and sub-sector reviews

    Develop tools to support the team’s research efforts, including screens and quantitative tools

  • Assist the Team in:

    Building financial and valuation models on companies and sectors of interest

    Developing investment theses and presenting recommendations tailored to each equity strategy

  • Gain broad exposure through cross-sector mandates:

    Being assigned to projects in rotation through sector teams

Ce que vous aurez besoin

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce – Finance option; or

  • Currently enrolled in a master’s or MBA program, concentration in Finance or other related fields

  • High academic achievement

  • Superior level of proficiency with business software and analytical tools, including strong Excel skills and at least moderate knowledge of Bloomberg

  • Demonstrate initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts to provide comprehensive, value-added research

  • Ability to work autonomously on specific assignments while being cognizant of the need to involve senior team members

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (spoken and written) skills to present findings and recommendations

  • Enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum

  • Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position. No support to obtain the right to work will be provided.

    *Options include Canadian citizenship, permanent residency or a valid open work permit.

  • Good communications skills in English and French (or willingness to learn)
