The role is part of the Risk, PnL & Valuation Processing (RPE) team, consisting of ~35 members globally, with 6 based in Montreal. The team supports PnL processing and valuation control functions, ensuring daily production cycles are completed accurately and efficiently.

As a member of the Production Management team, you will bring your passion for technology to enable the team to operate more efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure daily PnL processing is complete, support product and valuation control, and troubleshoot issues across multiple data sets from risk systems, front office systems, and other sources. This diverse role provides exposure to cutting-edge technologies, Agile-based development teams, and global business sponsors, offering significant career growth potential.

Responsabilités principales

• Handle production management services including end-user support, systems monitoring, incident management, problem management, plant management, and event management.
• Work closely with controllers to monitor and validate batch processing for daily PnL cycles.
• Manage multiple data sets from risk systems, front office systems, and valuation platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance and usability.
• Develop automation to reduce manual toil, improve efficiency, and eliminate customer impact.
• Provide root cause analysis with recommendations for improvements.
• Interface with developers to drive application fixes with appropriate business justification.
• Configure application monitors using industry-standard monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana, Elastic Search, OpenTelemetry) and develop customized monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with business units, developers, data operations, outside counterparties, and regulatory bodies to deliver best-in-class services.

Compétences requises

• Strong coding/scripting skills (Python).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of database concepts, SQL queries, and database performance tuning.
• Experience with application monitoring/alerting tools (Splunk, Grafana, Elastic Search, OpenTelemetry).
• Understanding of schedulers (Autosys, ETL concepts).
• Experience building and maintaining production/non-production environments.
• Familiarity with development tools (GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet).
• Exposure to AI tooling and concepts.
• Basic knowledge/certification in cloud platforms and Thought Machine.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a continuously changing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fully engaged production role.
