The AVP, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Enablement is accountable for establishing and leading the FP&A Hub function that empowers standardized, scalable, and technology-enabled FP&A capabilities across the organization. Success in this role will be realized through improved quality and speed of decision making by reducing manual processes, focusing FP&A technology investments, and scaling standardized tools to deliver timely, reliable insights. The role owns the FP&A Hub strategy and roadmap, prioritizes business problems for technology enablement, and serves as the primary conduit between FP&A spokes, Finance Systems teams, and enterprise partners. The role drives governance and leads a Community of Practice to ensure alignment and adoption, and monitors delivery outcomes to improve efficiency, consistency, and decision-quality across FP&A value streams (planning/forecasting, reporting, and business partnering enablement).

In addition to the above, this role is accountable to align finance leaders on a common strategy for data, analytics and reporting. This role will also partner with the AVP, Finance Systems Solution Delivery in driving process and technology optimization that enables the Finance data, analytics, and reporting strategy.

How you will create impact:

  • Own the FP&A Hub strategy and phased roadmap aligned to FP&A priorities and enterprise Finance direction.
  • Establish and manage governance routines (intake, prioritization, decision rights, escalation paths) to reduce duplication and increase consistency across teams
  • Manages and fosters strong stakeholder relationships across Finance, Finance Systems Solution Delivery, business units, and entities to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and enable coordinated outcomes.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, reusable, and aligned to finance standards while minimizing disruption to strategic planning cycles and BAU delivery.
  • Promote operational efficiency by reducing manual, Excel-based processes and enabling controlled, auditable, and standardized ways of working
  • Develop an engaged team through orientation, coaching, and performance/career management; recruit and onboard resources as required
  • Leads the Finance Data, Analytics and Reporting Strategy in partnership with the AVP, Finance Systems Solution Delivery

To join our team:

  • You have a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) and/or advanced financial planning credentials considered an asset
  • Project Management certification (PMP) considered an asset
  • At least ten (10) years of demonstrated experience leading finance transformation and technology enablement initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of FP&A / Decision Support practices including planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance management.
  • Possess an understanding of finance data and systems enablement concepts (requirements definition, process standardization, controls, and governance).
  • Ability to assess opportunities for automation, standardization, and data improvement in collaboration with Finance Systems and Technology partners.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected salary range: $142,526 - $237,544

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
