Technical Designer & Merchandiser

Company Description Modextil inc., established in 1981, is a privately held Canadian fashion company specializing in the design and manufacturing of proprietary brands. Based in North America, Modextil also serves as an importer and distributor of premium lifestyle brands, such as Kway and Fabletics. The company is known for its quality craftsmanship and excellence in the fashion industry. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Designer & Merchandiser, located in Montreal, QC. The role involves creating technical designs, artworks, recoloring sketches & boards, and working in liaison with the NY sales office to prepare customer presentations. Qualifications - Proficient in Technical Design and Garment Construction - Proficiency with design software and tools, such as Adobe AI and PSD is required - Knowledge of industry-standard fashion design principles - Strong attention to detail - Excellent communication and collaboration skills (Mandarin is a plus!) - Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Follow direction, but also a free thinker! - Degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or product development This is a full-time, in-house role. It is open to individuals living in Montreal, Quebec who ALREADY hold a right to work in Canada.
