Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Founding Shopify Developer, based in Montreal, QC, with flexibility for remote work. The developer will lead the development of our Shopify integrations, creating custom solutions and apps, implementing APIs, optimizing user experience, and ensuring platform scalability. The role entails collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and staying up-to-date with Shopify platform upgrades and ecosystem advancements. As a founding team member, the developer will play a critical role in shaping the technological foundation of our product. Qualifications - Proficiency in Shopify platform development, including Liquid, Shopify APIs, and related integrations - Experience building and maintaining Shopify custom themes, apps, and extensions - Strong frontend development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React - Knowledge of backend development technologies, databases, and server-side programming languages - Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and testing production code - Proficiency with e-commerce best practices, payment integrations, and web performance optimization - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team - Experience launching products as part of a startup or high-growth company is a plus - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is preferred
