Job Title: Repair Technician

Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Production / Repair Technician to join the Longueuil team. This role sits at the intersection of quality and repair, where you will be responsible for identifying product failures, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring issues are resolved to maintain production quality standards.
Your work will directly support customers and help maintain efficient production operations. This is a fully bilingual role requiring fluency in both French and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities:
  • Customer RMA Failure Analysis
  • Receive, log, and triage customer-returned units from RMA claims
  • Perform systematic failure analysis to identify root causes (electrical, mechanical, workmanship, or design-related)
  • Document findings with clear, reproducible failure analysis (FA) reports including failure mode classification and corrective actions
  • Conduct functionality testing using multiple test stations to ensure product integrity
  • Diagnose and rework PCBs using soldering and rework techniques (through-hole and SMD), including component-level replacement
  • Operate mechanical tools including hand tools, torque drivers, and precision measuring equipment
  • Assembly Line Reject Analysis
  • Perform failure analysis on units flagged as rejects at inspection points (IQC, in-process, OQC)
  • Identify defect patterns and escalate systemic issues to Engineering and Quality teams
  • Support root cause investigations and verify effectiveness of corrective actions
  • General Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records in the quality management system
  • Follow SOPs, work instructions, and ESD handling protocols
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, or testing
  • Proficiency in PCB soldering and rework (SMD and through-hole)
  • Experience performing failure analysis and writing FA reports
  • Ability to read schematics, BOMs, and technical work instructions
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
  • Strong attention to detail and structured troubleshooting approach
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluency in both French and English (required)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • IPC-7711/7721 certification
  • Knowledge of IPC Class 2 or IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
  • Experience with battery management systems or electromechanical assemblies
  • Background in consumer electronics, EV, or mobility hardware
  • Experience using Jira or other ticketing systems
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
