Résumé du poste

The Learning & Development Specialist will support the development of online learning programs and delivering talent initiatives across BGIS, nationally. The incumbent is responsible for identifying needs and making recommendations on the continuous improvements for training systems and processes, following through with development and evaluation of courses.

Principales fonctions et responsabilités

  • Assists with the design of in-class and virtual in-class training solutions based on organizational needs using current learning methodologies.
  • Identifies eLearning needs and plans and manages eLearning project components, including intake process, needs assessment, storyboard and design, development, user testing and deployment.
  • Leads the needs identification process for each design project including project intake process and creation of project charters.
  • Designs and deploys training evaluations, monitors feedback and makes recommendations for future changes to course design.
  • Partners with the business on key learning initiatives and instructor led design projects as required.
  • Supports all training programs, initiatives and transitions, performing other duties, as required.

Connaissances et compétences

  • Post-secondary education and/or professional certification (CHRP, Adult Learning & Staff Training, Instructional Design,
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and authoring tools such as Storyline 360, Rise etc.
  • Experience producing and leading instructor-led training sessions using virtual platforms, such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge that usually comes with 3-5 years’ experience with adult learning principles, exposure to course design and eLearning development software
  • Technology savvy with ability to build web based training
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint,)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Licences et/ou accréditation professionnelle

  • Working towards a CTDP designation

Informations salariales

This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $63,397 - $79,246 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education, professional designations and performance related to this role.
