Intermediate UX/UI Designer

1 year contract

% Remote

● Lead end-to-end design across web and mobile experiences for members, providers, and administrators.

● Partner with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams to define user flows, interaction models, and design system patterns.

● Translate research insights and behavioral data into clear, actionable design solutions.

● Create and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that bring ideas to life.

● Ensure consistency and quality through adherence to design systems, accessibility standards, and brand principles.

● Facilitate design critiques, co-creation workshops, and collaborative reviews across teams.

● Contribute to the evolution of our design system and advocate for best practices in usability and accessibility.

● Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of craft excellence and continuous improvement.

Must Haves:

● 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, ideally within digital health, SaaS, or complex platform ecosystems.

● A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design process, cross-platform design, and experience solving complex problems. We would like to see how you select design activities that are appropriate for the problems you're trying to solve.

● Proficiency in Figma / FigJam

● Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and usability principles.

● Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.

● Ability to think strategically about user experience and system-level design.

● Excellent communication and storytelling skills - able to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.

● Passion for improving health outcomes and creating meaningful digital experiences that empower people.

Nice to Have

● Experience designing for healthcare, telehealth, or other regulated industries.

● Familiarity with service design, journey mapping, and systems thinking.

● Understanding of front-end development principles (HTML/CSS/React knowledge is a plus).

● Experience planning and executing research activities such as concept testing and usability testing.

● Exposure to data-driven design or behavior change frameworks.
