Administration Specialist – Group Claims Admin Services

Provides comprehensive financial administrative support for disability and health claims, reconciles financial control account balances, and supports the annual tax slip production process within the Group Disability environment.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Develop expertise in payment and tax functions specific to the Group Disability environment

  • Apply technical knowledge to understand how transactions impact tax slip production and financial control accounts

  • Receive and respond to complex and escalated inquiries from plan sponsors and members

  • Manage high-volume, transactional work with a positive and proactive approach

  • Process transactions accurately under limited direction, using critical judgment to protect financial records and member claim taxation

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Group Business operations

  • Good working knowledge of Sun Life Administrative Systems: Genesis, Chess, and Oasis
