Job Description
Summary
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of the R6M ecosystem for all players. They analyze threats targeting the game ecosystem and develop a local protection and operational strategy aimed at reducing attacks, combating cheating, and promoting player security.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive local security program to analyze and remediate risks surrounding the game (cheating, hacking, infrastructure attacks), in alignment with Ubisoft’s global security strategy.
- Define the anti‑cheat strategy and coordinate the integration of anti‑cheat solutions into the game.
- Implement operational programs to manage sanctions and user investigations related to player security.
- Establish objectives and collaboration plans with partner service teams (SRM, online platforms, IT, anti‑cheat providers, etc.) to strengthen the game’s protection.
- Develop escalation plans and rapid‑response procedures for critical situations affecting game users.
- Define and monitor key security performance indicators to assess the game’s health post‑launch.
- Conduct ongoing research on security trends, technologies, and emerging threats within the gaming industry.
- Use expertise and experience to promote security awareness and training among production team members.
Qualifications
Education
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Relevant Experience
- Experience in team coordination and/or team management.
- Experience in game production or game development, particularly online and/or mobile games.
- At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity or other relevant experience.
Skills
- Ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and communicate technical or business concepts to various audiences (leadership teams, technical teams, business teams).
