Electrotechnician - Day Shift Introduction
I’m Jérémy Dupeuble, Recruitment Advisor at FED ManuTech, specializing in engineering and manufacturing talent across Greater Montreal.
We are hiring a Licensed Electrotechnician to join a major environmental manufacturing and recycling company.
This is a key role in a unionized heavy industrial environment where strong troubleshooting skills and technical autonomy are critical.
Principales responsabilités
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automated systems
- Execute electrical repairs, modifications, and new installations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues on PLCs, drives, and communication networks
- Intervene on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain industrial equipment such as conveyors, pumps, and overhead cranes
- Follow maintenance programs in compliance with ISO 14001 standards
- Work in a demanding chemical environment (full PPE required)
- Provide technical support to production supervisors
Exigences
- Valid electrician license (CÉ issued by Emploi-Québec - approx. 5,000 supervised hours)
- DEP or AEC in electricity / instrumentation (or equivalent)
- Experience in heavy industrial settings
- Strong electrical and automation troubleshooting skills
- Written test required (minimum 70%)
- Mandatory technical evaluation during plant visit
- Clean criminal record
- Autonomy, precision, and teamwork mindset in a unionized environment
Ce que nous offrons
- Starting salary : $44.31 / hour (~$92,000 / year)
- Increase to $47.98 / hour after 2,000 hours
- Fixed day shift : 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM
- Significant overtime available and paid (no time bank)
