ABOUT THE TEAM

The Chief Investment Officer group is responsible todetermineand manage the Total Fund’s risk-return profile, provide tools and insights that help investment groups manage risks andidentifyinvestment opportunities as well as promote knowledge management and knowledge sharing throughout PSP. The CIO group also encompasses the Strategic Communications and Global Government Affairs team, as well as the Sustainability and Climate Innovation team.The Total Fund Integration Group (TFI) is part of the Total Fund Management Group (TFM) whois responsible fordesigning the policy portfolio as well asmaintainingand improving its alignment with the desired risk-return profile, based on the central economic scenario.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As anIntern,Total Fund Integration,you’ll:

  • Participate in the investment support structure to effectively manage requests for new types of financial instruments, mandates, strategies, brokers/counterparties, and markets. This entails managing the requests from the front office and coordinating withinternalandexternalbusiness partners asrequired

  • Activelyparticipatein the production and improvement of management and investment reportingpertaining toTotal Fund Management activitiesand any other reporting requested by the Board of Directors, SeniorVice-Presidentand/or other stakeholdersAssistin conducting (product and mandate specific) business process reviews and optimizations forthe Group.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of CommerceorMaster’sdegree, with a concentration in Finance

  • Knowledge of financial products

  • Excellent level ofproficiencywith MS-Office tools

  • Programming skills (SQL,Python,MATLAB, etc.), an asset

  • Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive research

  • Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research,analysisand documentation

  • Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients

  • Excellent focus on details and good organizational skills

  • Effectivecommunicationsskills, both written and spoken

  • Proficiencyin English and French (or willingness to learn)

  • Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum

  • Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the periodspecified tobe considered for this position. No support to obtain the right to work will be provided.
