Then this opportunity is for you! We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Recreation Specialist to join our team at a remote northern mine site.
The Recreation Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing activities for mine workers, helping to promote their well-being during their stay on site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage:
- Yearly events: Christmas, Nunavut Day, Halloween, etc.
- Camp life: Various social, recreational and departmental activities.
- Orders of supplies and materials.
- Social Club:
- Bazaar and vending machines.
- Volunteers & membership.
- Budgetary planning.
All related communications.
Exigences
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure, considered an asset;
- Experience working in a multicultural and mining environment;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
