The Opportunity
This position works out of our Montreal office in the Business Technology Services division.
As the Senior Manager IT, you’ll lead country-level IT strategy, operations, and governance. You’ll be the face of IT in Canada, aligning technology with business goals, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, and driving innovation. You will be responsible for overseeing all IT activities across multiple business divisions and domains within the country. This role ensures seamless integration of IT solutions, aligns IT strategies with business objectives, and represents IT in executive decision-making forums.
This position reports to the Latam and Canada Regional IT Director and collaborates with global IT teams, business stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with corporate IT strategies and compliance with national regulations.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute the Country IT Roadmap aligned with global strategy.
- Lead the Country IT Council and represent IT in executive forums.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data privacy regulations.
- Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and external partners.
- Drive a culture of collaboration within the IT team, fostering a culture of excellence following the BTS vision and commitments.
- Understand and contribute to the business unit’s strategy.
- Translate business strategy into an aligned IT strategy and portfolio of programs, projects, and applications.
- Act as the business relationship manager for IT, facilitating communication between IT and business units.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in IT or related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of IT experience, ideally in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to communicate at multiple levels, internally and externally.
- Project management. Experience/understanding of commercial standard processes (finance, controlling, purchasing, logistics) of a large organization.
- Experience with ERP, infrastructure, and commercial processes.
- The incumbent must be able to communicate well in English (50% of the time), as his or her duties require interaction with stakeholders and colleagues outside Quebec and Canada.
