  • Scrum Master 18: Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.

Location

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
  • This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, or Laval.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team Overview

The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group, led by the Chief Information Officer, empowers customers and colleagues to deliver secure and reliable digital experiences. The group aims to:

  • Define, execute, and sustain the technology target state and operations for EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
  • Manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap across all domains.
  • Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies to stay relevant in the market.
  • Lead integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to improve experiences.

EDC aims to be a leader in making Canada and the World better through trade. The Digital Platform Delivery & Architecture (DPDA) group enables the business to leverage technologies by providing secure, fit-for-purpose platforms. The Automation team within DPDA seeks an Automation Scrum Master to guide scalable automation solutions. The automation toolset includes UiPath, ServiceNow CSM & Automation Centre, Power Apps, and Azure AI.

You’ll empower teams to deliver automation solutions, facilitate high-value projects, and apply Agile principles to leverage latest technologies for growth and innovation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitate Agile Delivery: Lead Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure work is well-defined and progressing.
  • Remove Impediments: Act as primary escalation point for blockers, risks, and dependencies; develop recovery plans when needed.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Facilitate retrospectives and implement process improvements.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to EDC’s delivery lifecycle, governance standards, and QA practices across automation solutions.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track Agile delivery metrics and provide progress reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Dependency & Release Management: Coordinate dependencies across squads; ensure readiness for releases.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with business and technical stakeholders; foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Citizen Development Enablement: Coach and guide citizen-led initiatives while ensuring governance.
  • Tooling Optimization: Leverage Agile tools (Azure DevOps, Planview) to improve visibility and delivery.
  • Budget & Procurement Oversight: Manage squad-level budget and procurement activities under the Director’s direction.

What We Are Looking For

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 7 years as a dedicated Agile Project Manager.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, Agile principles, DevOps, Scrum and Kanban.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Scrum Master and/or Project Manager certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, DASSM).
  • Knowledge of AzureDevOps and Planview.
  • Knowledge of automation platforms and practices (UiPath and ServiceNow Automation Centre).
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts for intelligent automation.
  • Project management experience.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
