About Us
We create products that matter — for people, the planet, and real progress. We collaborate with startups and SMEs across industries to bring meaningful ideas to life through strategic industrial design, sustainable innovation, and a thoughtful, hands-on development process. We’re award-winning, growing fast, and looking for curious minds ready to shape what comes next.
What you'll do
- Bring critical thinking, precision, and practical creativity to every project
- Actively seek ways in which internal processes — particularly our Design for Manufacture approach — can be improved
- Identify opportunities to help grow the studio’s capabilities, tools, or workflows
- Contribute to the cultural and creative life of the studio (we want your ideas and your voice)
Design & Execution
- Lead product design projects from discovery through to DFM and production handoff
- Create and document robust design concepts grounded in user insights, feasibility, sustainability, and manufacturability
- Collaborate with strategists, designers, mechanical engineers, manufacturers, and other partners throughout the process
- Support client presentations, visuals, and storytelling to bring our work to life
Relationships & Responsibility
- Be a thoughtful teammate: respectful, collaborative, and proactive
- Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and suppliers — including during technical discussions
- Represent Punctuate’s values in your everyday work — excellence, empathy, and impact
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years experience in the industry, ideally within a design agency or design team
- Strong portfolio showing concept thinking and follow-through to real-world, manufactured products
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or equivalent), Adobe CC, Blender, and prototyping tools
- Solid understanding of DFM principles, production methods, materials, and tolerances
- Comfortable balancing creativity with technical feasibility
- Bilingual (French/English) is a strong asset
- Have worked on consumer electronics, sustainability-focused products, or on sustainable strategies
- Know a thing or two about materials (plastics, textiles, recycled content, etc.)
- Enjoy refining documentation, drawings, and files for seamless handoff to engineers or manufacturers
- Want to grow with us and help shape what Punctuate becomes
Benefits
- A chance to work on meaningful products that improve people’s lives
- A collaborative, ego-free studio that values people as much as projects
- Access to a multidisciplinary team (ID, strategy, engineering, prototyping)
- Creative freedom and real ownership of your work
- Flexible hybrid schedule in our Montreal studio
- Opportunity to grow your role as we grow the studio
