Middleware Integration Specialist – Lead II (Enterprise Solutions)

Overview

Role: Middleware Integration Specialist – Lead II (Enterprise Solutions). This role applies technical skills to design, build and automate middleware platforms both on-premises and in the cloud.

The Opportunity

  • Hybrid: In office/remote
  • Coordinate signoffs for non-functional requirement testing with development and business teams
  • Maintain a 360-degree view of applications and their underlying middleware and infrastructure components
  • Produce reusable infrastructure and middleware design patterns for future reference and refresh existing ones regularly
  • Support vendor/vendor technology onboarding following best practices and security blueprints
  • Adopt, build and rollout new technology stacks for NFRT for cloud-based and on-prem applications
  • Automate daily support functions, improve system stability, support hygiene initiatives and deliver innovations that create efficiency and consistency

What You Need

  • Strong infrastructure knowledge in Linux/Unix, Storage and Networking
  • Hands-on experience with load balancers, web servers (Apache / Nginx) and application servers (Tomcat); includes application integration, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Expert-level scripting using Python (mandatory) and Shell
  • Familiarity with IT Automation & Config Management tools (Ansible / Helm)
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Artifactory, Flux)
  • Security hardening concepts for hosting applications/middleware, including transport encryption and modern SSO authentication/authorization mechanisms
  • Basic operational knowledge of RDBMS and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), Docker/Podman containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Prior experience managing large web-based n-tier applications in secure cloud environments
  • Desirable skills: graph databases (GraphDB, Stardog, Neptune) and SPARQL; Kafka, Redis, Airflow; open-source Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Loki); identity management protocols (OIDC/OAuth, SAML, LDAP); Big Data platforms (Hadoop/ELK); capacity planning and performance tuning
  • System architecture / developer work experience is a plus
  • 7+ years in a similar hands-on middleware/applications specialist role
  • Experience in a global financial organization is an advantage

Location: Quebec

Compensation Range: $104,000 – $130,000

Benefits

  • Full-time regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave per year (pro-rated for new hires), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty
