Description de Poste

Join a globally recognised resources and materials organisation and play a hands-on role in shaping enterprise-level priorities that drive long-term, sustainable impact. This internal strategy and consulting team works directly with senior leadership across assets, product groups, and corporate functions to solve complex, high-value business challenges.

This role is well-suited for experienced consultants or internal strategy professionals who are ready to take on broader ownership, increased stakeholder exposure, and accelerated leadership development within a global operating environment.

You will be part of a high-calibre, collaborative internal consulting team combining former top-tier consultants and high-potential industry talent, with strong executive sponsorship and exposure to decision-makers across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to a Senior Manager within the Internal Strategy & Consulting function, you will:

  • Partner with senior leaders to identify, scope, and deliver high-impact strategy and performance improvement initiatives across operations and corporate functions
  • Lead structured problem-solving and analytical workstreams to diagnose complex business issues and develop pragmatic, data-driven recommendations
  • Translate analysis into clear, compelling insights that inform executive decision-making
  • Take end-to-end ownership of defined workstreams, including work planning, milestone management, and final deliverables
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple business units and geographies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal consulting tools, methodologies, and ways of working
  • Coach and support junior team members as appropriate, depending on experience level

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 4–7+ years of experience in management consulting or an internal strategy / transformation role within a large, complex organisation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with experience working on ambiguous, unstructured challenges
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information into concise, executive-ready communications
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing across functions
  • A track record of delivering practical, implementable recommendations
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Exposure to asset-intensive industries (e.g., mining, energy, infrastructure, industrials) is advantageous but not required
  • A strong commitment to safety, integrity, and collaboration

What’s on Offer

  • A high-visibility internal consulting role with direct exposure to senior leadership
  • Competitive base salary and annual incentive program
  • Comprehensive medical and well-being benefits for employees and immediate family
  • Long-term wealth participation through equity / share ownership programs
  • Career development support, including leadership training and education assistance
  • Flexible working arrangements and a strong focus on work-life integration
  • A values-driven culture where safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement are non-negotiable

Why Join

This is a rare opportunity to step into a true internal strategy role within a globally scaled, asset-heavy organisation — combining the intellectual challenge of consulting with the ability to see ideas through to execution and impact.
