Role Overview
  • Proactive and experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst with a strong focus on networking

  • Responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining enterprise IT and network infrastructure

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments

Network & Systems Infrastructure

  • Implement, configure, and manage secure, scalable network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, wireless, load balancers)

  • Install, cable, and maintain IT and network equipment

  • Configure and support networking protocols and services:

    • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, VPN, SD-WAN, SASE

  • Administer Windows Server environments (physical and virtual):

    • VMware, Hyper-V, Azure VMs

  • Manage core infrastructure services:

    • Active Directory

    • Group Policy

    • DNS, DHCP

    • File and print services

  • Support hybrid identity environments (on-premises AD and Azure AD)

Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity

  • Deploy and maintain Azure networking components:

    • Virtual Networks (VNETs)

    • Network Security Groups (NSGs)

    • VPN Gateways

    • Azure Firewall

    • ExpressRoute

  • Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams on:

    • Hybrid connectivity

    • Cloud migrations

    • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce network access controls and traffic segmentation

  • Conduct regular security assessments

  • Coordinate incident response and system recovery during outages or security events

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies

  • Apply firmware updates, patches, and security updates

Monitoring, Automation & Optimization

  • Use monitoring tools to ensure system and network visibility:

    • FortiAnalyzer

    • PRTG

    • Azure Monitor

  • Continuously improve monitoring capabilities and alerting

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts:

    • PowerShell

Collaboration & Operational Support

  • Support and back up the Senior Network Administrator

  • Assist in resolving service requests and major incidents

  • Act as an escalation point for internal teams:

    • System Administration

    • Cybersecurity

    • Applications

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical upskilling

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for:

    • Advanced troubleshooting

    • License renewals

    • Contract management

    • Hardware procurement

    • Equipment disposal

Documentation & Project Delivery

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation:

    • Network diagrams

    • Configuration baselines

    • SOPs

    • Internal knowledge articles

  • Participate in infrastructure projects:

    • Upgrades

    • Migrations

    • Site or service expansions

  • Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP)

Proactive Engagement & Availability

  • Proactive approach to infrastructure management and service reliability

  • Commitment to continuous improvement

  • Availability to support critical incidents or projects outside business hours when required



Requirements



Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in network and systems administration roles.
  • Strong expertise in Fortinet and Cisco platforms.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Azure networking technologies and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Solid understanding of networking and routing fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and BGP.
  • Strong experience administering Microsoft infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; French is considered an asset. Occasional travel and a valid driver’s license are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA and/or Network+ certification.
  • Experience with Operational Technology (OT) and industrial networking environments.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Bicep.
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems and container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes.
