Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Visual and Events Advisor with a creative eye, entrusted with overseeing the execution of captivating visual displays to create a unique and inspiring shopping experience for our customers.

The successful candidate will have an artistic vision, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of our brand image to effectively execute and maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards and event setups.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Visual and Events Advisor will play an integral role in ensuring an enhanced shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute visual merchandising and event setups at the store level while following visual merchandising best practices, product placement, and display techniques, promoting a consistent, cohesive, and authentic brand image.
  • Collaborate closely with the head office marketing/merchandising and store management teams to understand upcoming promotions, launches, and seasonal campaigns, translating them into impactful visual displays.
  • Regularly review and assess the effectiveness and cleanliness of visual displays, making necessary adjustments to optimize sales, customer engagement, and traffic flow within the store.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging visual merchandising techniques, integrating innovative ideas into the store’s presentation strategy.
  • Maintain inventory of visual merchandising props, fixtures, signage, and display materials, ensuring their availability and proper utilization.
  • Conduct regular store walkthroughs to assess visual merchandising compliance, cleanliness, and overall store aesthetics, addressing any issues promptly with their direct supervisor.

THE FIRST SIX MONTHS

Months 1 – 6

Receive training on merchandising, store events and overall store opening, operations, team collaboration, and visual strategies.

Skills And Experience You Will Need

  • Proven experience in a visual merchandising role, preferably in the luxury, beauty, or retail industry.
  • Excellent artistic and creative abilities with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams, store associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU

  • Have a degree or certification in visual merchandising, fashion, design, or a related field.
  • Are familiar with planogram/visual merchandising software.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the luxury beauty market, including emerging trends and customer preferences.
