Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire: Build, mentor, and motivate a high‑performing team. Foster a culture of growth, recognition, and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver Impact: Own key product features and ensure projects are delivered on time and with exceptional quality. Remove obstacles and champion engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, architects, and senior leaders to turn business and technical requirements into actionable plans and successful outcomes.
  • Drive Innovation: Continuously refine development processes, encourage new ideas, and help shape the team’s vision for both the short and long term.
  • Be a Trusted Partner: Advise senior management, drive alignment, and help implement strategic decisions across your team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years managing software engineering teams using Agile methodologies for Enterprise SaaS applications.
  • 10+ years building large‑scale commercial backend services (AWS, Java, Spring Boot, MySQL).
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills; able to thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.
  • Excellent communicator and active listener, comfortable presenting to large audiences and leading group activities.
  • Proven mentor with a track record of developing successful teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading high‑performing engineering teams in a fast‑paced product development environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and retaining strong engineering teams.
  • Strong people‑management skills with experience handling performance reviews, career development, and succession planning.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across cross‑functional groups.
  • Experience leading multi‑team or multi‑project initiatives with clear business impact.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, resource management, and budget forecasting.
  • Expertise in setting engineering standards, driving process improvements, and establishing operational excellence.
  • Ability to foster a diverse, inclusive, and psychologically safe work culture.
  • Experience managing teams in a hybrid or distributed work environment.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities—ability to develop next‑generation leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
