Position Summary

The Marketing Lead is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive growth, retention, and customer engagement. Working within an agile squad, the role collaborates with Product, Sales, Digital, and other functions to ensure initiatives are data‑driven and aligned with Cogeco’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth in target markets.
  • Build a cross‑sell strategy based on new products or new speeds available.
  • Implement initiatives to boost sales using feedback from sales channels and NPS surveys.
  • Set up a win‑back journey to recover accounts within a short timeframe.
  • Design, launch, and manage multi‑channel marketing campaigns, ensuring the user experience meets acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct competitive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges across telecommunications channels in Canada and the United States.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling B2B / B2C content, including emails, direct mail, case studies, and presentations.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, using data‑driven insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a key member of a cross‑functional squad, contributing to agile marketing strategy development and execution.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of B2B / B2C marketing principles, particularly within telecommunications.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive growth and engagement.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and sales platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Fluency in English and French is a plus for communicating across Canada and the United States.

Academic Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. Master’s or MBA is a plus.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of marketing experience, preferably in telecommunications.
  • Experience working in an agile team or squad; solid understanding of agile practices is a plus.
